8 Ways to Build an Extending Mechanism with Lego
Hi everyone,
you need some kind of extending mechanism almost everywhere when using Lego. But often that's not really trivial, a gear rack doesn't always fit, or a screw isn't strong enough. Here's a collection of 8 useful and less useful ways to build one of these.
Enjoy watching and bricking,

A Monowheel ... Without a Wheel | Lego Technic
Просмотров 13 тыс.4 месяца назад
Hi, this video is a small application of the amoeba wheel I've showcased a few weeks ago ( ruclips.net/video/Geu_kDHcrLM/видео.html ). Basically, this is a linkage that moves forward just by changing its shape. Thanks a lot to the Poly Bridge discord community and especially @ArglinPB for the help getting all these amoeba wheel variations to work :) Enjoy watching, 2in1 Links: First Amoeba Vide...
Every LEGO Gear Ratio is Possible
Просмотров 53 тыс.4 месяца назад
Hi everyone, when designing a model, you often need a specific gear ratio. Most of the time, that's pretty easy: just throw together a few gears and that's it. But actually, there are prime-numbered gear ratios that you simply can't get with normal gear ratios. In this video, I'll try to explain how :) Enjoy watching, 2in1 Links: Tutorials (2nd channel): ruclips.net/video/ke_MnrZQdGo/видео.html...
How Slow can LEGO go? | Comparisons
Просмотров 58 тыс.4 месяца назад
Hi everyone, I've seen a lot of videos about making a car as fast as possible, but barely any about making it slow (for a good reason). If you just want to know how to get more torque, I'm showing some designs, but I had a lot of fun (inspired by the one and only Randall Munroe) driving this to the theoretical minimum and searching for comparisons along the way. I hope you enjoy that different ...
7 Reciprocating (Piston) Mechanisms | Lego Technic
Просмотров 93 тыс.4 месяца назад
Hi everyone, one of the most useful mechanisms for many Lego applications are so-called reciprocation mechanisms or pistons. There are a lot of ways to do that, so here are 7 additonal mechanisms to the first video I've published quite a while ago ( ruclips.net/video/T03M15mhh60/видео.html ). Reinventing the Wheel with Lego
Просмотров 130 тыс.5 месяцев назад
Hi, a while ago, I've seen @ArglinPB 's video about chebishev amoeba wheels, and thought that should definitely possible in Lego. And as it turns out, there is actually some pretty recent research about that, and I'm pretty happy about how the proof of concept turned out! Enjoy watching, 2in1 FAQ: Check out Arglin's pinned comment, it's explained much better than I ever could Resources/Credits:...

Solving all Traffic Problems with LEGO Technic
Просмотров 23 тыс.6 месяцев назад
Hi everyone, have you ever wished you could skip the traffic jam? With 2in1Car™ you can do that. On a more serious note, this might not be immediately that "useful", but is a pretty neat application of offset scissors combined with omniwheels, redirecting the linear actuator motion to a wheel extension, while the wheels stay in parallel. 6 Ways to use 1 Motor for 2 Outputs | LEGO Technic
Просмотров 71 тыс.6 месяцев назад
Hi everyone, since they are discontinued, power function motors got really expensive. Instead of finding reasonable solutions to that problem, I designed 6 ways to split the rotational directions of the input. This can be useful for saving space, weight and money. If you still haven't found your perfect solution for that problem, here are 3 more designs: ruclips.net/video/jm7O3nFp5Oo/видео.html...

A Lego Tightrope Walker | Improved Version
I just built it thank you for the step by step instructions 🎉
chup chup !!
moving beams is energy loss on back and fourth motion unless it goes in counterbalanced formation
Yo
It actually bugs me that someone thought long enough about how to make a waste of motors to work out a mechamism that does such thing.
Worm gear moves to other gear, there is 1:-1 ratio so it moving backwards on -1 gear is -1 * -1 = 1 but 1*1 also equals one
next make BILL-Gate
gygt
What other types of gears are compatible with the smart gripper?
driven steering is the best!
Thanks for the ideas this can reduce the use of gears
My suggestion if you do bot have a spring is to take a spring out of one of those ballpointerpens which you click on the bottom the ”pen part” comes out
”not”
You know, you should make a little Lego domino machine one day
A domino building machine is actually on my todo list
Can I have the instructions I'm actually going to be make this at home 😮😅😊😢 !!! ???😊
What is the project called on rebrickable?
Doesn't exist, because it's not really reproducible with a different mouse or keyboard :/
@@in1 do you have instructions or the code ? I'm still going to do it !!!
There is no code, it's just the default Mindstorms remote Motor control And, I'm sorry, there aren't instructions either, you might have to use the video for building :/
@@in1 ok
Can I have the instructions ? Would love to take it to a upcoming lego event btw will give you creddit with custom business cards ?
rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-106528/ The one above doesn't have a rebrickable, because it's barely working, but I can recommend this one which has an .io file (but still needs tweaking for a different mouse ofc)
@@in1 ty you are the goat 🐐 🐑 / man 👨 thank you you don't know how much thus helps me 😊 😀
alternatively you could use gears
You can also add a motor and a switch (as a lever) to make it more simple and similar
(no offense) man you think torque Is more important than speed? ... Read more Explanation: I saw a video that if he makes 5:1 Gear ratio the torque Is increased and speed decreased And if he switch into 1:5 Gear ratio the torque reduced and the speed Is 5 times faster
You'll have to find the right gear ratio for the sweet spot between torque and speed. Too much torque means, for example, that your car is slow, but too much speed means your car is accelerating slowly, or can't drive up a hill. That's why gearboxes exist
trying to figure out a much larger scale lego suspension system, but this was a super inspiring and helpful visualization of some suspension types!
Im going to put this in reverse for a double input single output
I'm gonna use this to turn my m motor into an servo for automatic transmission
The Simple Rubber Band is very powerful and gave me ideas for using in weapons
How! This is a very nice video! Nice work!
i liked number 1 because of its compactness, but I need to combine more gear worm drills together to make the axle travel farther. But combining the gear worm drills isnt very consistent for me and they end up moving slightly out of place.
#4 is very good IMHO!
Bro said "|x|"
Well it's simple really. The worm gear drives one gear, which turns counterclockwise, then when it slides along the axle it drives the second gear, which makes the first gear rotate counterclockwise 😁 A+
Hey, could you please give a tutorial on making the biggest joystick mechanism shown before the simplified one please!!! 🥺
How can I make a gear oscillate, it’s for the BTS Lego set, I want to make the minifigures turn side to side but can’t figure out a compact way to do it.
ruclips.net/video/1WeNkikqeOs/видео.html
Certified worm moments
3 could be useful for when ur lazy to turn on the switches by rotating them
The car mechanism would be perfect for a tram
most cheap rc cars use a system similar to the one you showed that's bad for the motor to steer
Hi, Mr 2in1 could your release a smart gripper tutorial that only uses Spike Prime lego and the expansion kit? I'm really stumped on how to make a grab and lift with just 1 motor as I have to use 2 motors for wheels and 1 motor for grab and lift and there is no instructions.
heres a tip for anyone looking to purchase springs to place over lego axles. to have a flawless fit, make sure to buy "0.5x(desired length)" size springs. 0.55 works as well, but for a perfect fit, buy 0.5MM.
I will use the piston on my minifigures 😏 🎉 with slim edge 😏😏😏😏😏
How to make a car that can move and turn in the simplest way and with the fewest parts?

Надо мотор приделать
why you using the stronger shock absorber?

Very nice work, but ,please, get more lighting and turn the aperture DOWN, like 8.0, and turn the auto focus off.
hi!
hi!
so it can't turn it can only turn by hand ohhhh I get now it is a waste of time that year good luck
i love this
what an abomination of a video :((
can you make offroad venichel

Can we use any gear with auto reverse gear?
